Navigation and Overview

Navigation and Overview

Every Financial Plan opens in the main panel—a single-page workspace with a sticky header, collapsible left navigation, and a content area for the active page. This tour explains the header, navigation groups, and the Overview landing page.

Left navigation groups: My Financial Records (top), My Plan, Insights, and Explorers. The header shows the current page title, display currency, Clone Plan, and Sharing.

My Financial Records and Debt Go

My Financial Records is a scrollable composite page with quick-navigation tiles and compact embedded sections for age assumptions, accounts, income, expenses, debts, money flows, and related inputs. Use it when you want to review or edit multiple input areas without switching pages.

Debt Go opens the same composite page but auto-scrolls to the debt section—it is a navigation shortcut, not a separate calculation engine. For a focused debt table, use Debts instead.

My Plan

  • Overview — Dashboard of wealth, health, and key projections
  • Milestones — Life-event timeline for the household
  • Home and Real Estate, Accounts and Assets, Income, Money Flows, Plan Projections, Debts, Debt Go, Expenses and Healthcare
  • Plan Preferences — Members, strategies, tax, and system settings
  • Import/Export — CSV export and controlled data clear
  • Run History — Orchestration run history for the plan

Insights

Read-only analytical pages backed by persisted projection data: net worth, lifetime income, retirement success, IRMAA, cash flow, taxes, withdrawals, surplus-gap, and more. See Reading Insights.

Explorers

Interactive scenario tools including Monte Carlo, What If…, Market Risk Explorer, Debt Payoff Explorer, Social Security Explorer, Roth Explorer, and CPP / OAS Explorer (jurisdiction-dependent). See Explorers.

Overview page sections

When you open a plan, Overview is the default landing page. It includes:

  • Current Net Wealth — Snapshot of assets minus debts today
  • Plan health panel — Success, warning, or error states with actionable guidance
  • Monte Carlo suggestion — Prompt to run simulation when appropriate
  • Projected Net Worth — Summary cards and chart through the plan horizon
  • Roth conversion suggestion — Planning prompt when relevant
  • Retirement Cash Flow — Income versus expenses in retirement years
  • Metric Watchlist — Pin key metrics you track across sessions
Overview metric cards show large financial values in the plan display currency. The health panel uses color-coded states below the metrics.
The health panel communicates plan readiness: green for on track, amber for warnings, red for blocking issues.

Responsive layout: On viewports below 900px the sidebar becomes an overlay drawer—use the header menu button. On desktop, collapse the sidebar to a mini rail; collapsed state persists in browser localStorage.
