Import, Export, and Sharing
Import, Export, and Sharing
Financial Planner supports CSV export of a complete plan, controlled import via the app home, record sharing, and optional administrative data clear for operators with the right permissions.
Export to CSV
Open Import/Export
Select Import/Export under My Plan.
Review export scope
Read the Export Data description — plan preferences plus all input object rows.
Export and download
Click Export to CSV, then Download File when export succeeds.
The export CSV is organized into labeled sections:
| CSV section | Contents |
|---|---|
=== FIN_PLAN === |
Plan preferences, members, rates, tax settings, system fields |
=== ACCOUNTS === |
Financial account rows |
=== FINANCIAL_ASSETS === |
Personal property assets |
=== REAL_ESTATE === |
Property records |
=== INCOME === |
Income streams |
=== DEBTS === |
Non-mortgage debt |
=== MONEY_FLOWS === |
Contributions, transfers, conversions |
=== EXPENSES === |
Living and healthcare expenses |
Export metadata rows include Exported From Financial Plan Id and plan name for traceability. Contacts export as names (not Salesforce IDs) for cross-org portability.
Use Import Plan on the Financial Planner home to create a new plan from an export file. The imported plan name appends - Import.
Export does not include persisted projections, orchestration run history, or metric watchlist preferences. Rerun orchestration after import.
Clear plan input data
Operators with the Clear_Financial_Plan_Input_Data custom permission (typically via
FinPlan_Admin) may see a Clear All Data section on Import/Export. This deletes child
input records for the plan—accounts through expenses—but does not
delete the Financial Plan record itself.
Destructive action: Clear operations cannot be undone from the UI. Export first if you need a backup.
Clone Plan
From any main panel page, click Clone Plan in the header. The clone copies preferences and inputs to a new Financial Plan record for scenario branching.
Sharing
Click Sharing in the header to grant access to users, roles, or groups. Users still need
FinPlan_User to use Financial Planner features.
Run History
Run History complements import/export for operational troubleshooting. Review past orchestration attempts when exports are not required. See Running Calculations.
