Salesforce financial planning software, built natively
Household plans, retirement projections, Monte Carlo, and what-if scenarios run inside Salesforce — not in a separate planning portal.
Most planning tools ask advisors to copy client data into another database, then bring a PDF back into CRM. Stratus Financial Planner is a managed Salesforce app: plans, inputs, projections, and insights stay in the same org as the household relationship.
How native planning works in Salesforce
Create the plan
Advisors run Create New Financial Plan for basics, owners and ages, withdrawal rules, and tax context.
Enter financial records
Accounts, income, expenses, and money flows are captured on Financial Planner records linked to the plan.
Run projections
Run Calculation refreshes insights, cash flow, net worth, and plan health on the same record.
Explore decisions
Monte Carlo, what-if, Roth, and benefit explorers answer follow-up questions without leaving Lightning.
Sample household on one Financial Plan
Sample data — Alex & Jordan Chen (illustration only, not a client record)
An advisor links existing Contact records for Alex and Jordan Chen, then enters plan inputs in Financial Planner.
| Primary / spouse ages | 58 / 56 |
|---|---|
| Target retirement age | 65 |
| Investable assets | $1.2M across IRA, Roth, and taxable accounts |
| Annual spending goal | $95,000 (Must Spend) |
| Tax context | Married filing jointly, US federal + state |
Result shown in the app: Projected net worth, retirement cash flow, and plan health appear on the Financial Plan insights page after Run Calculation.
Limitation: CRM account balances are not copied automatically — advisors enter or import financial detail on plan records.
Why a second planning system creates drag
Rekeying household data
Advisors re-enter accounts, ages, income, and goals in a portal that does not share Salesforce as the system of record.
A second database for sensitive records
External planning tools become another place to store balances, tax inputs, and family details — with a separate vendor and access model.
Context switching in client meetings
The relationship lives in Salesforce; the plan lives somewhere else. Updates lag, and compliance cannot see one trail.
Planning where client data already lives
Create and run plans in Lightning
Guided plan setup, financial records, projection runs, insights, and explorers are first-class pages in a Financial Planner console app.
Governed by your Salesforce model
Permission sets, sharing, field-level security, and audit history apply to planning data the same way they apply to the rest of the org.
Client conversations stay on-platform
What-if and Monte Carlo explorers let advisors test retirement age, spending, and conversions without exporting the household.
What Salesforce-native planning changes
- No duplicate household database for planning
- Advisors update plans where relationships already live
- Admins and compliance keep one permission and audit model
- Projections and explorers stay attached to the Salesforce plan record
Common questions
Is Financial Planner a Salesforce-native app?
Yes. It is a managed package: Lightning pages, custom objects, Apex services, and permission sets run in your org. Planning data is not copied to a Stratus-hosted planning portal.
Which Salesforce clouds does it work with?
The AppExchange listing lists compatibility with Sales Cloud and Financial Services Cloud.
Can we try it before buying?
Financial Planner is coming soon on AppExchange. Request early access to pilot in your org, or read the product documentation. A 30-day trial with one Financial Plan is planned when the listing is public.
